In 2008, the Dalai Lama visited Nottingham for a five day seminar at Nottingham Arena. While visiting, he travelled across the city to the banks of the River Trent, to plant a tree near County Hall, the administration headquarters of Nottinghamshire County Council.
Jai met him during this time, and briefly chatted with him, and was blessed in his company.
