It took 87 years to have a plaque for Mahatma Gandhi in Beeston to mark his visit to our town. It was a proud moment for me to be a witness to the ceremony when the Mayor of Broxtowe unveiled 
the plaque. That house in Beeston has become a landmark and place of interest. Everyone was interested to know more about Mahatma Gandhi. I felt very proud to be Indian.
